Once all these useless 32 bit VST folder locations were removed from Maschine Preferences and the duplicate 64 bit VST dll's were deleted from the hard drive, all that remained was to rescan the Plug-Ins Locations. Secondly, and maybe more importantly, the 2.6.1 Maschine update must have re-added additional plugin locations for x32 plugins which I had previously removed. I had not thought to check for these duplicates. No prompts were given during update installation to choose install location. They cannot be loaded from the Maschine Browser directly. When I open my project on the 2nd computer, there is a blank instance in KONTAKT. This problem is always an issue when I use KOMPLETE KONTROL, but sometimes with KONTAKT instruments too.
Plugins can be loaded manually just fine. Both computers are on the same os, the same version of logic and all plug-ins have been consistently updated in NATIVE ACCESS. It will take some moments to reinitialize its database. Navigate to the Native Instruments folder and delete the Komplete Kontrol folder you find here. This will open the Appdata > Local folder. No presets will load Reaktor5, Massive, Kontakt 5 and maybe others. Close KOMPLETE KONTROL and press Win + R on your keyboard to open the Run dialog. The multitude of different plugin versions can be very confusing until one gets used to the fact that there are up to 4 different VST versions: VST2 and VST 3 each for 32bit and 64 bit versions. Maybe you inadvertently chose that folder when originally installing Kontakt, since you assumed there was a VST3 version of Kontakt available?
I think c:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3\ should only be used for VST3 plugins so everything else in there may get ignored. Kontakt doesn’t have a VST3 plugin - neither do most Native Instruments plugins (as of this writing).
